MEET & GREET CAROL . . .
Carol went to Corpus Christi & Loretta Academy and has a degree in Criminal Justice. In 1973 she was one of the first female Chicago Police Officers. She has 3 children, 6 grands and 3 great grands and is retired after 31 years as a police officer. Carol is new to the Atlas Center and enjoys needle point & line dancing as her hobbies. She says she loves that the people at the center have so much energy & are so friendly. She really likes the atmosphere. Carol told us "I worked hard at my job and at one point I suffered from depression.. Now I wake up each day and try to have as much fun as I can". |

MEET & GREET EARL . . .
this is his second visit to the Atlas Center . He enjoys how the men are as involved as the women at the center and how comfortable it is to be yourself and dress the way he did in the 60's and 70's. He has been enjoying his hobby of photography for 65yrs. And he also loves traveling to other countries because of the diversity of cultures. We know he will enoy the local diversity at the Atlas center. |

MEET & GREET JESTINE. . .

who as an LPN,enjoys working with people. And she says she loves everything about the Atlas Center, the food, exercise and most imprtantly the people and staff. She loves Bowling, exercising and last but NOT least she loves God's people and believes in Christ.

MEET & GREET CHARLES. . . |
who has been attending the center for three years. He is retired and enjoys coming to the center to be a part of the games and the Christmas parties among the other activies at the center. Bowling is a hobby which he enjoys. He also believes in the Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. |

MEET & GREET SANDRA . . .
who is retired and loves to spend her time in a pleasant atmosphere that matches her outgoing personatily. She has been visiting the Atlas Center for four months. She enjoys swiming and danceing. Here at the center she likes the stepping classes and her many new friends.

MEET & GREET WILLIE . . .
|
who has been visitng the center for ten years. He enjoys creative activities such as, playing the harmonica and holds a degree in interior decorating. He finds the center to be a great place to meet good people if you need a friend. |

MEET & GREET JESSIE . . .
|
She is originally from Vincent, Arknsas and later went to several schools in Chicago. She says she has a degree in Life and is a runner-up for NAACP Queen. Jessie has 5 children, 17 grands and 11 great grands and is retired. Her hobbies are singing, dancing, ceramics, traveling, puzzles and sports. She's been coming to the Atlas Center since 1997 and likes everything about it - It offers a variety of things to do, gives you a reason not to stay at home. "I'm involved in the twice weekly exercise class and I go out to the nursing homes with the choir. It's also a great place to meet friends. I'm prosperous in love, health & God's blessings!" |

MEET & GREET JAMES . . .
|
James is from Detroit, moved to Chicago and went to Dunbar and Northwestern. He has a BA in Journalism, teaches line dancing, had 2 children and 5 grands. He's presently retired and his hobbies are dancing,sports,& jazz. He's been coming to the Center for the past 5 or 6 years. He likees the steppin parties and the opportunities at the center. James would like for you to know he is outgoing, loves to dance, and he treats people the way he would like to be treated. Say Hello to James the next time you see him. |
