A Wellness Program Pharmacist is available at Atlas Center
one half-day each month.  In addition to informative presentations
and question and answer sessions on medications and health-related
issues, the pharmacist is available by appointment for private,
one-on-one consultations to address your concerns.  Make an
appointment for a "brown-bag" medication review (bring all of
your medications in to thepharmacist for review in a brown paper bag),
get help with timing your medications or bring in your lab results
for discussion.

Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

Asthma and Chronic obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) are diseases
of the lung airways. Common symptoms are wheezing, coughing,
shortness of breath and chest tightness.  Many older adults are affected
by these lung conditions, which are a major cause of illness and death
throughout the world. There is no cure for these conditions, but there are
things that you can do to control or prevent the symptoms. This session
will present an overview of asthma and COPD and discuss the common
